Event Health & Safety

This summer, along with the festivals and events we have delivered full event production and event management for, we have worked with shows providing specialist Licensing and Event Health & Safety management for shows that include Junction 2, Bournemouth 7s, Gottwood, Hospitality in the Park and Mostly Jazz.

We have worked in this specialism for over 16 years now and our expertise includes:

• Premises licence & TEN applications
• Sub committee hearing attendance
• SAG attendance
• Table sop scenario meetings
• Event safety management plan (ESMP)
• Risk assessment (RA)
• Fire risk Assessment (FRA)
• Noise management Plan (NMP)
• Crowd management Plan (CMP)
• Event medical Plan (EMP)
• Severe Weather Contingency Plans
• Method Statements
• On-site safety officers
• Trader, supplier, sub-contractor risk auditing

Importantly, with the introduction of CDM to our industry last year, health and safety procedures are being formalised which means that things are changing for the better.  As such, we are beginning to see a shift in the way our clients view Event Health & Safety asking –  is this too big a role for the festival production/site manager to take on? We deliver Expert knowledge, real production and event management experience, adaptability, a can-do attitude and have been privileged to work across a diverse portfolio of shows already this year, all of which feature very difference audiences, sites and challenges.

Nick spoke to Caroline from StandOut for the latest issue of the magazine about our work with LWE’s show Junction 2, you can read the Health and Safety feature on page 45 and 47 here.

At The Showman’s Show Nick led a Campfire session on CDM and H&S at festivals and was featured in AAA Magazine’s roundup, you can watch it here
